Molot Vepr .243 Winchester, Thumbhole Stock, Slant Cut Receiver

The Molot Vepr is a semi-automatic rifle manufactured by the Molot factory in Vyatskiye Polyany, Russia, built on the heavier RPK light machine gun receiver rather than the standard AKM receiver. The RPK pattern receiver uses 1.5mm stamped steel compared to the 1.0mm found in standard AK rifles, providing increased rigidity and durability. The Vepr uses the standard AK long stroke gas piston operating system with a rotating bolt. Vepr rifles chambered in .243 Winchester were imported in a sporter configuration to comply with U.S. import regulations, featuring a one-piece thumbhole stock rather than a separate pistol grip and buttstock. The .243 Winchester chambering is among the rarest Vepr variants produced, with an estimated production run of approximately 200 rifles, making it a highly sought-after variant among Vepr collectors.

This example features a slant cut rear receiver and is configured in its original sporter import configuration with a walnut thumbhole stock and a 20.5" barrel with a pinned thread protector. Accompanied by two magazines, no original box or accessories included.
