The Smith & Wesson M&P9 Pro C.O.R.E. (Competition Optics Ready Equipment) is a full size striker fired semi automatic pistol chambered in 9mm, designed as an optics ready variant of the M&P platform. The C.O.R.E. designation indicates the slide is milled with a mounting cut forward of the rear sight to accept various red dot optic footprints using interchangeable adapter plates, allowing the shooter to mount optics from multiple manufacturers without requiring aftermarket slide work. The pistol operates on a short recoil, locked breech system with a Browning type tilting barrel and features a 4.25 inch barrel. The Pro C.O.R.E. is equipped with suppressor height metal sights to provide co-witness capability when a red dot optic is mounted. The polymer frame incorporates a full length Picatinny accessory rail and aggressive texturing on the grip panels and front strap with interchangeable palmswell inserts for grip customization. 

This example is fitted with a black Apex Tactical trigger in place of the factory hinged trigger. The pistol uses a hinged sear deactivation lever and magazine disconnect safety, with a lever style takedown system on the frame. Accompanied by three 17-round magazines, optic mounting plate set, and original case.
