Marlin 336RC Regular Carbine 30-30, MFG 1951
The Marlin Model 336 is a lever action sporting rifle introduced in 1948 and built around a solid top steel receiver with side ejection and a round bolt design. The action uses coil springs rather than flat springs and feeds from a tubular magazine beneath the barrel. The side eject receiver allows the rifle to be easily fitted with optics while maintaining the traditional lever action layout.
The 336 R.C. (Regular Carbine) designation identifies the standard carbine configuration fitted with a 20 inch barrel and full length tubular magazine. This example is chambered in .30-30 Winchester and features a blued steel barrel, walnut stock and fore-end, and the traditional open sights associated with the model. The bolt body is jeweled and the rifle retains the classic lever action configuration typical of early Model 336 carbines. Accompanied by Marlin rifle bag.
