The SKB 500 is a boxlock over/under shotgun designed by SKB Arms Company of Tokyo, Japan. The 500 series features a single selective trigger with an integrated barrel selector, automatic ejectors, and a ventilated rib. The action locks up via a Greener style crossbolt combined with a full width hinge pin. Receivers on the 500 series are scroll engraved with a satin stainless finish. The SKB 500 was available in 12 and 20 gauge configurations with various barrel lengths and choke combinations.

This example is chambered in 20 gauge with a 3 inch chamber and 26 inch barrels, both fitted with fixed spreader (SPR) chokes. Spreader chokes use internal vanes or diffusion features to produce a wider shot pattern at closer distances. Length of pull measures approximately 13.875 inches. The shotgun features blued barrels and a scroll engraved receiver with a stainless finish. The trigger, trigger guard, lever, and safety also have a stainless finish. The stock is checkered walnut in a pistol grip configuration with a plastic buttplate. The forend is checkered walnut. The single selective trigger incorporates a barrel selector within the trigger blade. Sighting is provided by a single front bead on the ventilated rib. No original box or accessories included.
