The Nikon Monarch series is a mid to upper tier riflescope line from Nikon's sport optics division, designed for hunters and shooters seeking reliable optical performance in a durable, field ready package. The 2.5-10x42mm configuration provides a versatile magnification range well suited to a broad spectrum of hunting scenarios, from close range brush hunting at the low end through precise shot placement at longer distances at 10x. The 42mm objective lens delivers strong light gathering capability while maintaining a moderate mounting profile. Monarch scopes are built on a 1 inch main tube machined from aircraft grade aluminum, with Nikon's fully multicoated lens system applied to all air to glass surfaces for maximum light transmission and reduced glare. The optical system is nitrogen purged and O ring sealed for waterproof, fogproof, and shockproof performance. Turret adjustments are 1/4 MOA per click, housed under protective finger adjustable caps. The eyepiece features a quick focus adjustment ring for fast reticle sharpening.

This example is finished in stainless (silver) and is equipped with Nikon's BDC Long Range Hunting Reticle in the second focal plane. The BDC Long Range Hunting Reticle features open circle aiming points spaced below the center crosshair, each representing a specific holdover distance for bullet drop compensation at extended ranges when the scope is set to maximum magnification. The open circle design allows the shooter to place the target inside the ring for precise holdover without obscuring the point of aim. No original box or accessories included.
