The Kalashnikov USA KP-9 is a semi automatic pistol chambered in 9x19mm, manufactured by Kalashnikov USA in Pompano Beach, Florida. The KP-9 is derived from the Russian PP-19-01 Vityaz, a 9mm submachine gun developed by Izhmash (now Kalashnikov Concern) as a compact weapon based on the AK platform. The KP-9 adapts this design for the U.S. commercial market as a semi automatic pistol. The operating system is blowback operated and the bolt carrier cycles within a stamped steel receiver. The pistol uses proprietary double stack 9mm magazines. The KP-9 is fitted with a hinged dust cover with an accessory rail on top for mounting optics, an AK style safety selector on the right side of the receiver, and standard AK pattern sights consisting of a front post and rear notch on a sliding tangent block.

This example is configured with a folding rear trunnion with a QD plate and QD lever currently installed. The pistol is fitted with black polymer furniture and a muzzle brake. Accompanied by eleven 30-round magazines and original red hard case.
