The Kimber Custom LW is a single action semi automatic pistol chambered in .45 ACP, manufactured by Kimber Mfg., Inc. The Custom LW (Lightweight) uses an aluminum alloy frame to reduce overall weight compared to the all steel Custom II while maintaining full Government Model dimensions with a 5 inch barrel. The pistol operates on the Browning short recoil, locked breech tilting barrel system. The aluminum frame incorporates a steel breech face insert for durability at the locking surfaces.

This example is a Shadow Ghost variant, configured with a two-tone finish with a gray anodized aluminum alloy frame and a black finished carbon steel slide. The pistol is fitted with a serrated skeletonized trigger, red and black G10 grips, a red fiber optic front sight, a low profile fixed rear sight, and a checkered flat mainspring housing. Accompanied by two Kimber 7-round magazines and Kimber case.
