The Kimber 84M is a bolt action rifle built on Kimber's compact short action platform, designed for cartridges such as the .204 Ruger, .223 Remington, and members of the .308 Winchester family. The action employs a controlled round feed system with a Mauser type claw extractor, providing positive cartridge control from feed to ejection. A three position wing safety allows the bolt to be cycled with the safety engaged in the middle position. The receiver is machined from steel and drilled and tapped for scope mounting. No iron sights are fitted. The rifle feeds from an internal box magazine with a hinged floorplate.

This example is an 84M Varmint chambered in .204 Ruger, featuring a 24 inch stainless steel fluted heavy profile barrel paired with a matte blued receiver, trigger guard, and floorplate. The heavier barrel contour and fluting provide increased rigidity and heat dissipation for sustained strings of fire while reducing weight relative to an unfluted heavy profile barrel. The stock is one piece grade A walnut complete with checkering at the pistol grip and forend and front and rear sling studs. Accompanied by scope rings, no original box or additional accessories included.

Note: Rifle smells strongly of varnish/stain. Some corrosion present on the scope rings, floor plate, and trigger guard.
