The SGL-31-38 is a semi-automatic AK-pattern rifle manufactured in Russia by Izhmash and imported into the United States by FIME Group. Built on a stamped steel receiver with a cold hammer forged barrel, this model reflects Russian military production methods adapted for the commercial market. The rifle uses the standard AK long strong gas operated, rotating bolt system and fixed iron sights.

This configuration features black furniture and includes functional upgrades intended to improve handling and trigger characteristics. An extended safety selector is installed for easier manipulation, and an ALG AKT-EL trigger provides a lighter, more consistent trigger pull compared to standard AK fire control groups while maintaining durability.
