The Inland Manufacturing Advisor M1 Pistol is a modern semi automatic pistol derivative of the M1 Carbine, produced by Inland Manufacturing in Dayton, Ohio. The M1 Carbine was developed in the early 1940s as a lightweight, intermediate power weapon intended for support troops, officers, and vehicle crews. Chambered in the .30 Carbine cartridge, the platform saw extensive service throughout World War II, the Korean War, and the Vietnam War. During the Vietnam conflict, M1 Carbines were widely issued to South Vietnamese forces, local militia, and advisory personnel operating alongside American advisors, where the carbine's compact size and light weight proved well suited to the smaller stature of Vietnamese soldiers and the dense jungle operating environment. Compact folding stock variants such as the M1A1 Paratrooper model were particularly valued in these roles for their portability and fast deployment. The Advisor pistol pays tribute to this heritage by condensing it into a pistol format with a shortened 12 inch barrel, while maintaining the original short stroke gas piston operating system and rotating bolt design. 

This example is equipped with an S&K Insta Mount Picatinny rail installed at the rear sight dovetail, providing a standard optics mounting platform without any permanent modification to the receiver (no drilling or tapping required). The rear of the receiver is configured to accept a folding wire stock similar to the M1A1 Paratrooper pattern, for ease of SBR conversion if desired. The pistol is accompanied by a sling and one 30-round magazine. No original box or additional accessories included.
