The Heckler & Koch USP Tactical is a full size semi automatic pistol designed to serve as a suppressor ready platform within HK's Universal Self loading Pistol family. The USP Tactical operates on HK's modified Browning linkless cam locking system, incorporating a proprietary recoil reduction system with a captive dual spring assembly that buffers slide velocity and reduces felt recoil. The frame is constructed from fiber reinforced polymer with an integral accessory rail and a one piece machined steel slide insert that serves as the barrel seat and locking surface. The USP Tactical is distinguished from the standard USP by its threaded barrel and its suppressor height sights, consisting of a blade front with adjustable rear, allowing the shooter to acquire a sight picture over a mounted suppressor. The USP platform uses HK's modular control system, which allows the safety and decocker levers to be configured in multiple variants to suit the operator's preference.
