The Heckler & Koch P2000SK is a subcompact, semi-automatic pistol chambered in 9mm, designed as the shortened variant of the P2000 duty pistol. The P2000SK operates on a short recoil, modified Browning cam lock system and uses a fiberglass reinforced polymer frame with an integral accessory rail. The SK designation stands for Sub Kompakt, indicating the reduced dimensions intended for concealed carry and backup duty use. The V2 variant is equipped with HK's Law Enforcement Modification (LEM) trigger system, a pre-cocked double action only mechanism that provides a consistent trigger pull on every shot without a traditional double action/single action transition or external decocking lever. The LEM system uses an internal pre-cocked hammer to reduce the trigger pull weight compared to a conventional DAO while maintaining second strike capability. The P2000SK uses HK's paddle ambidextrous magazine release, positioned at the base of the trigger guard. The pistol also features HK's modular interchangeable backstrap system, allowing the grip profile to be adjusted to the shooter's hand size.
