The Harrington & Richardson Model 176 is a single barrel break action shotgun chambered in 10 gauge with a 3 1/2 inch magnum chamber. Manufactured in Gardner, Massachusetts, the Model 176 was designed as a heavy duty waterfowl and turkey gun built around the large 10 gauge shell. The action employs a side lever release mechanism to break the action open and features a transfer bar safety system. The receiver is color case hardened steel. The Model 176 is fitted with an automatic ejector.

This example is fitted with a blued 36 inch barrel with a fixed full choke. The stock and forend are hardwood with a semi pistol grip configuration, and the buttstock is fitted with a rubber recoil pad. The length of pull measures 13.625 inches. No original box or accessories included.
