The Glock 19 Gen 6 is the sixth generation of Glock's compact 9mm striker fired semi automatic pistol, building on one of the most widely adopted handgun platforms in military, law enforcement, and civilian use. The Gen 6 introduces several design refinements over the Gen 5, most notably a redesigned palm swell grip geometry that replaces the interchangeable backstrap system of previous generations with a fixed, ergonomically contoured grip shape intended to provide a more natural and consistent hand purchase. The frame features a reshaped beavertail extension at the rear of the grip for improved recoil management and higher hand placement. The trigger system has been updated with a flat face trigger shoe, departing from the curved trigger used on all prior Glock generations, and incorporates a shorter reset. The slide is machined from steel with an nDLC (Diamond Like Carbon) finish and features front and rear serrations. The barrel is a 4.02 inch Glock Marksman Barrel with enhanced polygonal rifling and a recessed target crown. The Gen 6 polymer frame incorporates a MIL-STD-1913 Picatinny accessory rail on the dust cover, a reversible magazine catch, and an ambidextrous slide stop lever. Standard safety mechanisms include the trigger safety, firing pin safety, and drop safety that comprise Glock's Safe Action system.

The COA variant is the factory optics ready configuration shipped with a mounted Aimpoint COA enclosed emitter red dot sight. The Aimpoint COA is a purpose built optic designed specifically for the Glock Gen 6 slide cut, featuring a fully enclosed emitter housing that protects the LED and lens from debris, rain, and fouling. The optic provides a 3.5 MOA red dot with multiple brightness settings and is powered by a CR2032 battery. The enclosed emitter design eliminates the possibility of obstructions between the emitter and the lens that can affect open emitter micro red dots. The slide is factory milled with a direct mount optic cut specific to the COA footprint, and the pistol is fitted with Glock polymer sights that co-witness through the optic window.
