The Glock 30 is a subcompact, double stack .45 ACP striker fired semi automatic pistol designed for concealed carry and personal defense while providing the capacity and terminal performance of a full bore service cartridge. The pistol operates on a short recoil, locked breech system using Glock's Safe Action trigger mechanism. The Gen 5 iteration incorporates the refinements introduced across the fifth generation Glock platform, including an nDLC (Diamond Like Carbon) finish on the slide and barrel for enhanced surface hardness and corrosion resistance, a Glock Marksman Barrel with enhanced polygonal rifling and a recessed target crown, a flared magazine well for more positive reloads, an ambidextrous slide stop lever, and the removal of finger grooves from the grip that characterized Gen 3 and Gen 4 frames. The frame is constructed from polymer with a textured grip surface, an integrated MIL-STD-1913 Picatinny accessory rail on the dust cover, and a reversible magazine catch. The Gen 5 ships with interchangeable backstraps to adjust grip circumference. Standard safety mechanisms include the trigger safety, firing pin safety, and drop safety that comprise Glock's Safe Action system. The Glock 30 uses a double stack magazine that provides 10 round capacity in the subcompact form factor.

This example is fitted with an aftermarket tungsten guide rod for improved recoil control, TruGlo TG-H3, and Talon Grips grip tape applied to the frame. Accompanied by three 10-round magazines, interchangeable backstraps, and original box.
