The Glock 17 Gen 6 is the sixth generation of Glock's flagship full size striker fired semi automatic pistol chambered in 9mm. The Gen 6 represents the most significant revision to the G17 platform in over a decade, introducing the Optic Ready System (ORS), a factory milled slide cut designed to accept direct mount red dot optics using a set of included optic mounting plates for various footprints. The Gen 6 frame features a refined ergonomic profile with a subtle palm swell integrated into the grip, as well as an enhanced RTF6 frame texture. The trigger has been updated to a flat faced design, maintaining the Safe Action system with integrated trigger safety. The Gen 6 carries forward Gen 5 improvements including the flared magazine well, ambidextrous slide stop lever, Glock Marksman Barrel, and the removal of finger grooves from the grip. The G17 Gen 6 uses a full size frame with a 4.49 inch barrel and accepts standard 17-round magazines.
