FN Five-seveN USG 5.7x28mm

The FN Five-seveN is a full size semi automatic pistol developed by FN Herstal in Belgium, designed alongside the P90 personal defense weapon to chamber the 5.7x28mm cartridge. The pistol operates on a delayed blowback system rather than a locked breech, made possible by the relatively low bolt thrust of the 5.7x28mm round. The Five-seveN uses a polymer frame with a steel slide and a polymer outer barrel jacket over a steel barrel, resulting in a notably low overall weight for a full size service pistol. The 5.7x28mm cartridge is a small caliber, high velocity projectile and the platform's design yields very low felt recoil. The standard magazine capacity is 20 rounds in a double stack configuration, contributing to a high ammunition capacity relative to the pistol's size.

This example is the USG (United States Government) variant, the second major iteration of the Five-seveN, distinguished from the earlier IOM model by a revised grip texture, a reversible magazine release, and a larger, square trigger guard. Additionally, it features an adjustable rear sight paired with a fixed front sight, an ambidextrous frame-mounted manual safety, and reversible magazine release. The frame and slide are finished in black with silver controls. Accompanied by one 20-round magazine, no original case or accessories included.
