The SU-230 HD is a dual-role combat optic offering 1× and 4× magnification settings, designed to support rapid transitions from close-quarters to extended ranges. The “HD” designation stands for Heavy-Duty, indicating reinforced internal components and structural hardware built for service conditions.

Unlike commercial models, this example features a linear BDC reticle variant: a fine illuminated center dot, thin crosshair posts, horizontal reference bars left and right, and a vertical stack of graduated labeled stadia for bullet-drop compensation. 

The housing is machined from aluminum and coated in a matte Flat Dark Earth finish, a subdued tan-gray color used on SOCOM-contract SU-230 optics. The optic includes a piggy-back mini red-dot mount (MRD) for close-range sighting (P/N #902995). No original packaging or additional accessories included.
