The CZ Shadow 2 is a full size DA/SA semi automatic pistol chambered in 9mm, designed and manufactured by Ceska zbrojovka in Uhersky Brod, Czech Republic. The Shadow 2 is built on a steel frame with an undercut trigger guard and a high beavertail grip geometry that positions the bore axis low relative to the shooter's hand. The pistol operates on a short recoil, modified Browning linkless locked breech system. The slide rides inside the frame rails rather than on top of them, a design inherited from the CZ 75 platform that contributes to a lower slide profile and consistent lockup. The Shadow 2 features a cold hammer forged barrel, an ambidextrous manual safety, and a DA/SA trigger with a short reset. The frame incorporates checkered front and back straps, and the trigger guard is squared and undercut to allow a higher grip.

This example is the Gold Digger special edition, distinguished by its brass grips, brass magazine base pads, and gold colored trigger. The added mass of the brass grips and base pads aids in reducing muzzle rise and felt recoil. The slide and frame wear a black nitride finish, and the pistol is fitted with a fiber optic front sight paired with a serrated, height adjustable (HAJO) rear sight. Accompanied by two 17-round magazines with brass base pads and original box.
