The CZ 527 is a bolt action rifle manufactured by Ceska zbrojovka in Uhersky Brod, Czech Republic, designed as a miniature Mauser action scaled for intermediate and small caliber cartridges. The 527 action is a true controlled round feed design with a Mauser type claw extractor, fixed blade ejector, and a recessed bolt face, providing reliable extraction and positive ejection. The action features a 90 degree bolt throw and a two position roller type thumb safety on the right side of the receiver. The receiver is grooved with a 16mm dovetail for scope mounting and is also drilled and tapped for scope bases. The CZ 527 incorporates a single set trigger system, which functions as a conventional single stage trigger or can be pushed forward to engage a light set trigger mode for precision shooting. The Varmint variant is configured for accuracy oriented shooting with a heavy profile cold hammer forged barrel and no iron sights, intended to be used exclusively with a mounted optic. This configuration pairs the 527 Varmint barreled action with a Kevlar/fiberglass composite H-S Precision stock, featuring a full length aluminum bedding block providing a rigid and consistent action to stock interface. The H-S Precision stock features a wide, flat bottomed forend suited for stable benchrest and sandbag shooting, a vertical pistol grip, a straight comb, and a black finish with spiderweb pattern. The rifle feeds from a detachable steel box magazine.

This example is chambered in .223 Remington with a 24 inch heavy profile barrel. The receiver is grooved and drilled and tapped for optic mounting. Accompanied by one 5-round detachable magazine and a bipod, no original box included.
