The Colt M4 Carbine is a semi-automatic rifle based on the M4 platform originally developed by Colt for the United States military. The rifle uses the direct impingement gas system with a rotating bolt, feeding from standard AR-15/M16 pattern magazines. The M4 Carbine configuration features a 16 inch barrel with a carbine length gas system, a flat top upper receiver with Picatinny rail, and a collapsible stock. Colt's commercial M4 Carbine is manufactured to military specification standards and uses a 4150 chrome moly vanadium steel barrel with a chrome lined bore and chamber.

This example features a matte green anodized upper and lower receiver paired with olive drab green Magpul MOE furniture, including a collapsible stock, handguard, and pistol grip. The rifle is fitted with a Magpul B.A.D. (Battery Assist Device) Lever for ambidextrous bolt catch manipulation, a Troy Industries ambidextrous magazine release, and a Bravo Company Manufacturing (BCM) ambidextrous charging handle. The upper receiver is a flat top Picatinny rail configuration with an A2 front sight base. Accompanied by one 30-round Magpul PMAG, no original box or accessories included.
