The Colt LE6940 is a semi-automatic carbine chambered in 5.56 NATO, distinguished by its one piece monolithic upper receiver that integrates the upper receiver and free floating quad rail handguard into a single machined aluminum unit. This design eliminates the joint between a conventional upper receiver and a bolt on rail system, providing a continuous and rigid platform for mounting optics and accessories with no shift in zero. The LE6940 uses a direct impingement gas system with a carbine length gas tube and a rotating bolt. The monolithic upper incorporates a folding front sight at the forward end of the rail, allowing the sight to be stowed flat when not in use to provide an unobstructed sight picture for mounted optics. 

This example is configured with a B5 Systems buttstock, A2 pistol grip, and a SureFire closed tine Warcomp flash hider and compensator in place of the standard Colt A2 flash hider. The monolithic upper features the factory folding front sight and a flat top Picatinny rail for optics mounting. Accompanied by one 30-round Magpul PMAG. No original box or accessories included.
