Colt M1903 Pocket Hammerless .32 ACP, 1928

The Model 1903 is a single action, straight blowback pistol built on a slim steel frame with an internal hammer and grip safety incorporated into the backstrap. It uses a fixed barrel with a reciprocating slide and feeds from an 8-round detachable magazine. The pistol is fitted with fixed sights, a manual safety, and the compact profile that defined Colt’s early pocket automatic series, with a 3.75 inch barrel and overall length under seven inches.

Produced from 1903 through the mid 1940s, the design became one of Colt’s most successful early automatics and was commonly carried by civilians and plainclothes officers, later seeing issue to U.S. general officers. This particular firearm was manufactured in 1928 and is accompanied by one magazine.
