BSA Martini International MK III .22 LR, Parker Hale Target Sights

The BSA Martini International is a single shot target rifle manufactured by Birmingham Small Arms Company in Birmingham, England. Built on the Martini falling block action, the rifle uses an underlever mechanism integral to the trigger guard to drop the breechblock, cock the action, and extract the fired case. The Martini International was developed specifically for competitive smallbore target shooting and saw extensive use in international prone, three-position, and Olympic competition from the 1950s onward. The MK III variant, introduced in the mid-1960s, incorporated refinements to the action, trigger, and barrel specifications over the earlier MK I and MK II versions. The heavy profile barrel is designed for sustained accuracy in match conditions, and the action is bedded into a target style stock with a high comb suited to aperture sight use.

This example is chambered in .22 Long Rifle and is fitted with a rounded forend target stock. The rifle is equipped with a Parker Hale adjustable aperture rear sight with adjustable color filters for varying light conditions, and a Parker Hale hooded front sight. No original box or accessories included.
