Browning FN Trombone .22 LR Pump Action Rifle, Threaded Barrel

The Browning Trombone is a pump action .22 LR rifle designed by Browning and manufactured by Fabrique Nationale (FN) in Herstal, Belgium. Produced from 1922 to 1974 with a hiatus during World War II, the Trombone is a takedown design that feeds from a tubular magazine housed beneath the barrel. The action uses a grooved forend to cycle the bolt, chambering rounds and cocking the internal hammer with each pump stroke. A distinctive feature of the Trombone is its bottom ejection, which makes the rifle equally suited to left and right handed shooters.

This example features a 22 inch barrel with a threaded muzzle and a compensator. The receiver is machined from steel with a blued finish, and the rifle is fitted with a walnut buttstock and a grooved walnut forend. No rear sight, original box, or accessories included.
