The Browning BAR ShortTrac is a gas operated semi-automatic rifle built around short action cartridges. The action uses a multi lug rotary bolt and a self-regulating gas system that adjusts to varying ammunition pressures. The receiver is machined from aluminum alloy and is drilled and tapped for scope mounting. A bolt release lever is located on the right side of the receiver, and the magazine release is positioned at the front of the trigger guard. The rifle feeds from a hinged detachable box magazine.

This example is chambered in .300 Winchester Short Magnum with a 23 inch barrel. The entire rifle is finished in Mossy Oak Break-Up camouflage, applied to both the metal surfaces and the composite stock and forend. The stock features a rubber grip panel inlay at the pistol grip and a Browning rubber buttpad. No original box or accessories included.

Note: Receiver is missing 3 of the 4 plug screws.
