Browning Hi-Power 1974 Belgian, 9mm

The Browning Hi-Power is a single action, short recoil operated semi-automatic pistol utilizing a locked breech system with a tilting barrel and cam slot interface. The design incorporates a double stack magazine and a frame mounted manual safety, with an external extractor and spurred hammer typical of later production examples. The pistol uses a steel frame and slide with a forged barrel, and retains the magazine disconnect safety integral to the original pattern.

This example is a 1974 production FN manufactured Hi-Power, produced entirely in Belgium. It is finished in a polished blue and fitted with checkered wood grips. The pistol reflects standard commercial configuration of the period with fixed sights and a spur hammer, and is accompanied by a Browning marked zippered pouch and one magazine.
