Browning High Power Safari Grade .308 Norma Magnum, Belgian Manufacture, MFG 1965

The Browning High Power Safari Grade is a bolt action sporting rifle manufactured by Fabrique Nationale (FN) in Herstal, Belgium. Built on the FN Mauser action, the rifle employs a controlled round feed design with a full length claw extractor and a fixed blade ejector. The receiver is machined from forged steel and is drilled and tapped for scope mounting. The rifle feeds from a fixed internal magazine with a hinged floorplate released by a catch inside the trigger guard. The Safari Grade designation indicates engraved scroll work on the floorplate and trigger guard, distinguishing it from the Medallion and standard grades in the Browning High Power rifle hierarchy. The stock is select walnut with a gloss finish, cut checkering, and a Monte Carlo comb.

This example is chambered in .308 Norma Magnum and was manufactured in Belgium in 1965. The rifle is equipped with a blade front sight and an adjustable rear sight. A Redfield scope base and rings are installed on the receiver. No original box or accessories included.
