Browning Citori Grade I 16 Gauge, 28" Barrels, Invector Chokes, MFG 1987
The Browning Citori is an over/under shotgun manufactured by Miroku in Kochi, Japan, for Browning. Introduced in 1973, the Citori is built on a boxlock action with a full width hinge pin and tapered locking bolt. The Lightning variant features a rounded forend profile and rounded pistol grip. The Grade I is the standard production grade, featuring a blued steel receiver with scroll engraving. The barrels are fitted with a ventilated top rib with a checkered surface for glare reduction and are threaded for Browning's Invector interchangeable choke tube system. The shotgun is equipped with a single selective trigger, automatic ejectors, and a tang mounted safety with integral barrel selector. The stock and forend are gloss finished walnut with cut checkering and a textured black plastic Browning buttplate.
This example was manufactured in 1987, identified by the PR serial date code, and is chambered in 16 gauge with 2 3/4 inch chambers and 28 inch barrels. Two Invector choke tubes are installed: Improved Modified in the top barrel and Modified in the bottom barrel. The length of pull measures 14.25 inches. No original box or accessories included.
