Browning BT-99 Monte Carlo 12 Gauge, 32" Ported Barrel, Invector Choke, MFG 1987

The Browning BT-99 is a single barrel break action trap shotgun manufactured by Miroku in Kochi, Japan, for Browning. Introduced in 1969, the BT-99 was designed as a purpose built competition trap gun, offering the simplicity and consistent point of impact inherent to a single barrel platform. The BT-99 is equipped with a high ventilated rib and the receiver is blued steel with scroll engraving. The shotgun is fitted with an automatic ejector. In the mid 1980s, Browning transitioned the BT-99 from fixed choke barrels to the Invector interchangeable choke tube system.

This example is model designation 199 and was manufactured in 1987, indicated by the PR serial date code. It is fitted with a 32 inch ported barrel with a 2 3/4 inch chamber and an Invector Improved Modified choke tube currently installed. The ventilated rib is fitted with front and mid bead sights and features matting on the rear portion above the receiver. The forend is a beavertail profile and the stock is a Monte Carlo configuration in gloss finished walnut with cut checkering, fitted with a rubber recoil pad. The length of pull measures 14.25 inches. No original box or accessories included.
