The Browning A5 is a semi-automatic shotgun utilizing Browning's short recoil operated Kinematic Drive System, in which the barrel and bolt assembly recoil rearward together upon firing before separating to eject the spent shell and strip a fresh round from the magazine. The system is housed in an aluminum alloy receiver with a steel back bored barrel and is compatible with 2 3/4 inch, 3 inch, and 3.5 inch 12 gauge ammunition without manual adjustment. The A5 uses the Invector-DS extended choke tube system and incorporates Browning's humpback receiver profile, a Speed Load Plus feature for direct chamber loading, and an oversize bolt release and reversible safety.

This example is part of Browning's A5 Camo line, finished in Browning's Auric camouflage pattern over the entirety of the shotgun including the aluminum receiver, barrel, synthetic stock, and forend. It is fitted with a 28 inch vent rib barrel, a gold colored trigger, a fiber optic front sight, and an Inflex II recoil pad. A Full choke tube is installed. No original box or accessories included.
