Browning Hi-Power Nickel Plated, 1974, 9mm

The Hi-Power uses a single action trigger system with a steel frame and slide and a short recoil, locked breech operating system. By the early 1970s, Browning-marked Hi-Powers were produced in Belgium by FN and imported for commercial sale, retaining the classic Hi-Power profile and control layout. This example features a nickel plated finish on the slide, frame, and controls, paired with checkered wood grip panels.

The Hi-Power is known for its double stack magazine design and long production life, with the core mechanical layout remaining consistent over time. A 1974 production pistol represents the model in a mature stage of its commercial production is accompanied by its original box, manual, and one magazine.
