Benelli Super Black Eagle HK Import, 12GA, 28" Barrel

The Benelli Super Black Eagle is a semi automatic shotgun operating on Benelli's Inertia Driven system, a recoil operated mechanism that uses a two piece bolt assembly with an inertia spring to cycle the action. The absence of a gas system results in a mechanically simple, lightweight, and easy to maintain design. Introduced in 1991, the Super Black Eagle was the first semi automatic shotgun capable of cycling 2 3/4 inch, 3 inch, and 3 1/2 inch shells interchangeably without adjustment, a capability that distinguished it from competing semi automatics at the time and established it as a standard platform for waterfowl and turkey hunting. The Super Black Eagle is built on an aluminum alloy receiver with a rotating bolt head that locks into the barrel extension.

This example was imported by Heckler & Koch, which served as the exclusive U.S. importer for Benelli prior to Benelli USA being established under the Beretta group. It is chambered in 12 gauge with a 3 1/2 inch chamber and is fitted with a 28 inch barrel with a ventilated rib, fiber optic front sight, and mid bead. The receiver and barrel feature a matte black finish, paired with a black synthetic stock and forend. An Improved Cylinder (5 notch) choke tube is installed. The length of pull measures 14.125 inches. No original box or accessories included.
