The Beretta A400 Xtreme Plus is a gas operated semi automatic shotgun built on Beretta's Blink gas operating system, which uses a self cleaning piston driven action designed to cycle a wide range of loads from 2 3/4 inch to 3 1/2 inch shells without adjustment. The action incorporates a cross bolt locking system with a rotating bolt head. The receiver is machined from aluminum alloy with an enlarged loading port and oversized bolt release. The stock uses Beretta's Kick Off Mega recoil reduction system, a hydraulic dampening mechanism housed within the buttstock. The barrel accepts Beretta Optima Bore HP choke tubes.

This example is chambered in 12 gauge with a 3 1/2 inch chamber and is fitted with a 28 inch HP tapered barrel with a stepped rib and red front bar sight. The receiver, barrel, stock, and forend are finished in TrueTimber DRT camo. A Muller H2O Passing choke tube is currently installed. The  stock has a 1/2 inch spacer installed, bringing the length of pull to 14.5 inches. No original box or accessories included.
