The Beretta AL391 Urika is a gas operated semi automatic shotgun built around Beretta's self compensating gas system. This system uses a gas piston and a pair of exhaust valves located forward of the chamber to automatically regulate gas pressure, allowing the action to cycle reliably across a wide range of loads from light target shells through heavy magnum rounds without manual adjustment. The AL391 also incorporates Beretta's self cleaning gas system, which channels exhaust gases to blow carbon fouling off the piston and gas cylinder during each firing cycle, reducing maintenance intervals. The AL391 Urika is built on an aluminum alloy receiver with a rotating bolt that locks into the barrel extension. Introduced in 1999, the AL391 Urika became one of the most widely used semi automatic shotguns in competitive clay target shooting due to its reliable cycling, soft recoil impulse, and adaptability to extended shooting sessions.

This example is chambered in 12 gauge with a 3 inch chamber and is fitted with a 30 inch barrel equipped with a Moneymaker adjustable rib, which allows the shooter to alter point of impact by raising or lowering the rib. The shotgun has a release trigger installed, firing when the trigger is released rather than when it is pulled. The stock is walnut with an adjustable comb and an adjustable buttpad for a customizable fit. A Beretta buttpad is currently installed, with a Pachmayr buttpad and original Gel Tek buttpad also included, although it has deteriorated. Accompanied by five choke tubes (Full, Improved Cylinder, Skeet, Improved Modified, and Modified), two choke tools, original case, and paperwork.
