Beretta AL 390 12 Gauge, 2000 Ducks Unlimited Edition, 28" Barrel
The Beretta AL 390 is a gas operated semi-automatic shotgun introduced in 1992 as a successor to the Beretta 303 series. It utilizes Beretta's self-compensating gas system, which bleeds propellant gas through ports in the barrel into a cylinder and piston assembly housed in the forend, automatically regulating gas flow to cycle reliably across a wide range of 12 gauge loads from light target rounds to heavy magnum shells without manual adjustment. The AL 390 is built on a lightweight aluminum alloy receiver with a cold hammer forged steel barrel and was produced in a variety of field, sporting, and commemorative configurations.
This example is the 2000 Ducks Unlimited edition, chambered in 12 gauge with a 2 3/4 and 3 inch chamber. The black finished receiver features floral engraving on both sides. The left side is marked "2000 Ducks Unlimited" with three gold flying duck inlays, while the right side displays the gold Ducks Unlimited duck head logo and gold "Ducks Unlimited" lettering. The trigger and bolt release are finished in gold, and the bolt carrier is jeweled. The shotgun is fitted with a 28 inch vent rib barrel with a Full Mobilchoke tube installed, glossy walnut stock and forend, and a 14.25 inch length of pull. Includes case and manual.
