Beretta 92G Brigadier Volunteer 9mm, Tennessee Special Edition
The Beretta 92G Brigadier Volunteer is a special edition variant of the Beretta 92 platform produced in connection with Beretta's operations in Gallatin, Tennessee. The pistol operates on a short recoil, open slide design with a falling locking block system and feeds from a double stack magazine. The Brigadier designation indicates the use of a heavier, reinforced slide with additional material forward of the ejection port and enlarged locking block bearing surfaces. The increased slide aids in an extended service life of the locking block and bearing surfaces by distributing forces over a larger contact area, and it reduces felt recoil. The Volunteer edition carries Tennessee-specific markings including Tennessee stars on the grip panels and "est. 1796 The Volunteer State" engraved on the right side of the slide.
This example features the Brigadier heavy duty slide and alloy frame in Bruniton matte black finish, fitted with wood grip panels bearing Tennessee star inlays and three dot sights. The "G" designation indicates a decock only trigger mechanism. Accompanied by two 15-round magazines and original case.
