The Beretta 686 Silver Pigeon I is an over/under shotgun manufactured by Beretta in Gardone Val Trompia, Italy. Built on Beretta's low profile boxlock action with dual conical locking lugs and a replaceable hinge pin, the 686 Silver Pigeon I is the foundational model in Beretta's Silver Pigeon line and one of the most widely used field grade over/under shotguns in production. The receiver is finished in a coin silver with floral scroll engraving accented by the Beretta logo on each side. The barrels are equipped with a ventilated top rib and use Beretta's Mobilchoke interchangeable choke tube system. The 28 gauge variant is built on a proportionally scaled receiver that is smaller and lighter than the 12 and 20 gauge versions, resulting in a nimble handling shotgun well suited for upland hunting and small game. The shotgun is equipped with a single selective trigger, automatic ejectors, and a tang mounted safety with integral barrel selector.

This example is chambered in 28 gauge with 2 3/4 inch chambers and 26.5 inch barrels. The top barrel is fitted with an Improved Modified choke tube (one notch) and the bottom barrel is fitted with an Improved Cylinder choke tube (three notches). The stock and forend are walnut with a matte finish and cut checkering. The forend is a rounded field style profile. No original box or accessories included.
