The Aimpoint Duty RDS is a compact enclosed-emitter red dot sight with a 2 MOA dot for both rifle and carbine applications. The housing is machined from aluminum and finished with a hard-anodized coating for wear and corrosion resistance. Fully sealed construction provides water resistance to 25 meters, and the sight is shock-rated for duty use.

Brightness is adjusted through side-mounted digital push buttons with ten total settings, including night vision-compatible levels. The optical system is parallax-free with unlimited eye relief, and the dot remains constant in size regardless of viewing angle. Power is supplied by a CR2032 battery, providing up to 30,000 hours of continuous operation at daylight setting 7. The Duty RDS mounts via the included Aimpoint Micro-style base with spacer, allowing height adjustment for co-witness with standard AR sights.
