The Aimpoint Comp M5 is a closed-emitter red dot sight designed for durability and extended operation in harsh environments. It features a 2 MOA dot with ten brightness settings, including four that are compatible with night vision devices. The optic runs on a single AAA battery and offers up to 50,000 hours of continuous use at setting 7. The sight housing is constructed from hard-anodized aluminum and is fully sealed for submersion up to 45 meters.

This unit includes a One Hundred Concepts HexCap installed over the objective lens, providing passive protection and flash signature reduction. The optic is compatible with Aimpoint Micro mounting interfaces; mount and spacer are not included. Adjustment turrets are capped and require no tools for zeroing.
