ArmaLite AR-10B .308 Win, Ban Era, MFG ~2000-2001

The ArmaLite AR-10B is a semi-automatic rifle chambered in .308 Winchester built on ArmaLite's proprietary AR-10 platform. Unlike the more common AR-10A series, which uses a side charging handle compatible with standard AR pattern upper receivers, the AR-10B uses ArmaLite's original top charging handle configuration derived from the 1950s Eugene Stoner design. This system places the charging handle on top of the upper receiver integrated with the bolt carrier, providing a distinct manual of arms compared to conventional rear charging AR pattern rifles. The AR-10B uses ArmaLite's proprietary magazine design rather than the modified M14 magazines used in some competing .308 AR platforms. The rifle operates via the standard direct impingement gas system with a rotating bolt.

This example was manufactured by ArmaLite in Geneseo, Illinois during the federal assault weapons ban period, circa 2000-2001. Consistent with ban era production, the rifle is fitted with a pinned and welded compensator and is configured with brown polymer stock, handguard, and pistol grip. Accompanied by three 10-round ArmaLite magazines, a nylon sling, a leather sling, original box, and manual.
