The Ruger New Model Super Blackhawk is a large frame, single action revolver designed around the .44 Remington Magnum cartridge. Built on Ruger's Dragoon sized frame with a lengthened grip frame and an oversized square back trigger guard, the Super Blackhawk has been in continuous production since 1959 and remains one of the definitive platforms for heavy revolver cartridges. All New Model variants incorporate Ruger's transfer bar safety mechanism, allowing the revolver to be safely carried with all six chambers loaded. The Bisley Hunter variant combines two distinct feature sets: the Bisley grip frame, adapted from the Colt Bisley target revolver of the 1890s with its longer, more swept back grip profile and lower, wider hammer spur for improved control, and the Hunter configuration, which adds a solid barrel rib with an integrated scope mounting system using Ruger's proprietary ring bases machined directly into the rib. 

This example is chambered in .44 Remington Magnum with a 7.5 inch barrel and a satin stainless steel finish throughout. The revolver is fitted with with laminate wood grip panels bearing the Ruger medallion inlay and an unfluted cylinder. Sights consist of a front sight mounted on the barrel rib and an adjustable rear sight. No original box or accessories included.
